Westfield Elementary has been known as an open and friendly campus where parents are always welcomed. We value you and want you to continue to feel welcomed on our campus.
In light of the recent school tragedies in our country, we are putting student safety first by becoming a closed campus. Our school will soon be fully enclosed by a fence and locked gates. Additionally, we will be enforcing new procedures to ensure the safety of your child.
Effective Monday, August 21, 2017, gates will remain locked until our campus opens at 7:30 a.m. Please ensure students do not arrive to school prior to 7:30 a.m. as student supervision is not provided until this time.
Additionally, all visitors arriving during the school day must report to the office, sign in and obtain a visitor pass which must be worn while on campus. During school hours, students will only exit the school through the office and must be signed out by parent/guardian listed on enrollment card.
The front gate will only be opened during dismissal times. We will continue to have the same procedures when picking up your child while in your vehicle.
I am happy to discuss these procedures with you at any time. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or questions.
